Summary: This is a position designed to enhance the use of information technology learning and data-driven decision making at Goodwill of the Olympics and Rainier Region (GORR). This position will have primary administrative oversight and leadership of GORR’s Workforce Development program-related data collection, analysis, and presentation.

Participates in the design, implementation, optimization, and ongoing management and maintenance of GORR’s Workforce Development information system and processes. Responsible for all operational data throughout Workforce Development, including identifying new data sources and connecting them into a coherent data warehouse to support business analytics, operations reporting, and client data management with various tools.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Assist SVP of WFD and program management to develop goals and programmatic KPI that align with Goodwill’s mission and vision and provide ROI analysis on Workforce Development programs
  • Develop queries of data information to help inform decision making at Goodwill
  • Create data presentations with appropriate tables and visuals utilizing business intelligence and data visualization tools, including but not limited to Tableau, to assist stakeholder understanding
  • Oversee GORR’s design and administration of CaseWorthy and Salesforce databases
  • Review data to identify trends, weaknesses and opportunities for the workforce division; provide leadership in presenting this information to management and staff to help inform and guide process and programming improvements as suggested by the data
  • Utilize external databases and labor market information to research and provide analysis on trends to ensure programming is relevant and to assist in strategy development
  • Provide training and support to staff, act as Tier 1 support for database systems providing resolution or escalation to vendor as necessary and work with case managers, instructors and staff to ensure accurate and timely input of data into data systems
  • Work directly with GII for Data Analytics Initiatives participation and ongoing weekly, monthly and annual reporting
  • SharePoint administrator and lead on department technology support and development

Education and/or Experience:

  • BA or BS in computer systems, data analysis or other computational subject matter

  • Relevant experience may be substituted for some of the education required. Prior experience working in a nonprofit, social services agencay is desirable

Language Skills:

  • Strong communication & presentation skills

Computer Skills:

  • Ability to function at a higher level in all software applications supporting the business department primarily using the Microsoft Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook, Pivot Tables) and Saleforce. Database entry & management. Experience with data visualization tools (Power BI and Tableau).
