Program Summary: The Operation GoodJobs program convenes, collaborates, and leverages strategic partners in the community, Operation: GoodJobs will equip veterans and military families to successfully transition into today's workforce while preparing for future careers. Once placed, veterans will be supported by Goodwill and local partners to retain their jobs, advance along career pathways, and equip the entire family to succeed.

GoodJobs is a team approach that will deploy a variety of strategies to engage, equip, and educate veterans. The services will include: outreach, intake and assessment; individual development plans; career navigation, transferable skills analysis, and employment training; education; case management; and placement.

Job Summary: The Veteran Services Case Manager will be a supportive team member taking direction from the Veteran Services Manager and Veterans Services Coordinator to help reduce the logistical employment and success barriers for enrolled veterans and family members. The Veterans Services Case Manager will have direct responsibility for developing individualized Career and Financial plans for qualified veterans and family members. They will also be responsible for assisting veterans and family members in accessing all appropriate services available through Goodwill and provide referral to appropriate social service public agencies. The Case Manager will be responsible for monitoring and ensuring suitable progress of veterans and family members during their enrollment in Operation Good Jobs, with the goal of each veteran and family member obtaining unsubsidized employment. Veterans Services Case Manager will also collect intake and performance data on the individuals served and the program overall and update multiple databases with clients demographics and case notes.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Direct responsibility for developing individualized Career and Financial plans for qualified veterans and family members

* Assisting veterans and family members in accessing all appropriate services available through Goodwill and provide referral to appropriate social service public agencies

* Monitoring and ensuring suitable progress of veterans and family members during their enrollment in Operation: GoodJobs with the goal of each veteran and family member obtaining unsubsidized employment

* Collect intake and performance data on the individuals served and the program overall and update multiple data basis with clients demographics and case notes

* Other duties may be assigned relevant to program success

Education and/or Experience:

* High School/GED required, AA or higher preferred.

* 1-3 years of case management experience strongly preferred.

* Veteran or Veteran Spouse preference applies.

Language Skills: English fluency required. Ability to read and interpret documents in such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization. Must be able to effectively communicate over the telephone and in person with employers, referral sources and participants.

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations: Must have Washington State Driverís License, reliable vehicle with liability insurance, and acceptable driving record.

Physical Demands: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to sit. The employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee is occasionally required to list and/or move up to 10 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close range, distance, color, peripheral, and depth perception. Must be capable of physically performing tasks required of participant in order to model and demonstrate desired behaviors.

Technical Skills: Strong computer skills, data entry, organization and filing and report management and a social service or educational setting individual case management experience.
