Production Workers are responsible for processing donated merchandise for re-sale including sorting, and pricing in a warehouse environment. 

 Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Unloads sacks, boxes, and miscellaneous donated items from gaylords or donation carts and transports them to proper processing or storage areas.
  • Sorts goods into appropriate categories
  • Inspects items for salability.
  • Cleans or repairs items to be priced and placed on the store sales floor.
  • Tickets items for sale by attaching price ticket to item.
  • Records and keeps daily production records.
  • Places ticketed items on or in appropriate transport container.
  • Monitors and reports supply needs to supervisor.
  • Ensures the area stays clean, well organized and safe.
  • Other duties may be assigned.
  • Able to work and maintain in a fast pace environment.
  • Flexibility to change priorities as business dictates.
  • Willingness to cross train in other areas. 

Education and/or Experience: Related warehouse production experience preferred. For textiles we require solid knowledge of brand names in women's, men's, children's' and junior apparel. For hardlines, we require solid knowledge of brand names in glass, hardware, electronics, shoes, accessories, housewares, toys and/or books.

Language Skills: Able to understand simple instructions in English and complete production documentation. The employee is required to effectively communicate.

Mathematical Skills: Ability to add and subtract two digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's.

Physical Demands Frequently required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; and reach with hands and arms. The employee is frequently required to lift and/or move up to 40 pounds, and occasionally required to team lift and/or move more than 40 pounds. 

Work Environment: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to work within humid conditions, near moving mechanical parts, and with fumes or airborne particles. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
