A Router/Fork Lift Driver is responsible for the process of collection, transporting and sorting of donated merchandise and provides forklift operation in a production environment and adheres to safety standards, unloads sacks, boxes, and miscellaneous donated items from trucks into cards and transports them to proper processing workstation and/or storage area.  Sorts good into appropriate categories safely and labels tem correctly (donations, salvage, recycling), provides smooth flow of goods to the production stations, operates forklift as needed (proper certification and training required), assists with tracking and recording daily production, donor and shipping/receiving records, loads and unloads salvaged products onto trailers and trucks, maintains receiving and delivery shipping logs, stacks items onto pallets of various heights, receives and distributes products.

 Supervisory Responsibilities: None 

Education and/or Experience: High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred; or one to three months related experience and/or training, 2 years of forklift experience highly desired; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Related production experience preferred.

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations: Must possess Forklift certification; must pass company certification test.

Language Skills: Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.

Mathematical Skills: Ability to add and subtract two digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's. Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance.

Physical Demands Frequently required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; and reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to climb or balance and talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to lift and/or move up to 40 pounds, and occasionally required to team lift and/or move more than 40 pounds. 

Work Environment: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to work in outdoor weather conditions. The employee is occasionally required to work within wet or humid conditions, near moving mechanical parts, and with fumes or airborne particles. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
