Our Community Engagement Department is seeking an Emergency Rent Assistance Manager to assist in a grant funded, community program with a goal to assist hundreds of households in danger of homelessness due to the COVID-19 crisis.

Who We are Looking For:
The Emergency Rent Assistance Manager position requires strong skills in community engagement, outreach, team work, collaboration and having the ability to take initiative to meet goals and outcomes. This is a grant- funded role with a high level of responsibility and accountability. As the leader of a four person team, the Rent Assistance manager will conduct outreach, develop plans, and ensure budgets and documentation are met and complete. Bi-Lingual or Multi-Lingual applicants highly preferred but not required. This employment is expected to last until the end of 2021, which is the end of the grant's cycle.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Qualifications: Must be capable of relating to individuals with barriers to employment, including long periods of unemployment and limited work skills, systematic poverty and navigating community resources. Must be a fast learner, self-motivated and enjoy working with people. Must have ability to work independently as well as capable of working with staff members in a team approach and be able to establish rapport and good working relationships with co-workers and community partners. Must have effective communication skills, verbal and written; performance must reflect compliance with the agency Ethics document and confidentiality of all discreet business.
Education and/or Experience: AA Degree in Business or Social Service or at least 2 years in community engagement, financial or social service with some supervisory experience; tax return preparation and tax law experience preferred but not required; experience in working with persons with barriers to employment is highly preferred.
Computer Skills: To perform this job successfully, an individual should have Intermediate to advanced skills in Microsoft (MS) Word, Excel and PowerPoint; must possess knowledge of and skills to utilize MS software including basic spreadsheets and databases; Internet knowledge required.
