The Night Shift Custodian/Floor Crew Technician is responsible for maintaining and improving the custodial and floor conditions of Goodwill of the Olympics and Rainier Region (GORR) facilities operating throughout Washington.

The Night Shift Custodian/Floor Crew Technician has experience in several trade fields, is a self-starter and team focused individual, capable of organizing and collaboratively completing projects at the direction of the Custodial Supervisor.  Custodial and floor maintenance include cleaning/sanitizing restrooms and other areas of the stores, floor care preventative maintenance, restoring hard surfaces and floors, carpet extraction, and other assigned duties as it relates to his/her job-site & current projects.  

Principal Functions/Responsibilities:

  • Works directly with the Lead Custodial/Floor Crew Technician and/or Custodial Supervisor to maintain and improve custodial and floor conditions at assigned locations.
  • Responsible for meeting productivity objectives and managing time effectively.
  • Follows safe work practices.
  • Performs custodial and preventative maintenance work on facilities including
    • Clean/Sanitize break rooms, bathrooms, fitting rooms, other areas as assigned
    • Operate mechanical equipment including pressure washer, auto scrubber, carpet extractors and other applicable custodial equipment
    • Performs preventative maintenance on floors and restores hard surfaces and floors through bi-annual scrub and coat process
    • Inspects vehicles, trailers, and custodial/floor care equipment to determine need for maintenance or repair
    • Responsible for ensuring assigned buildings are secured and locked at all times.

Qualifications:

  • 1-3+ years experience in related field
  • Knowledge and experience operating both hand and mechanical equipment necessary for the job
  • Maintains effective working relationships with customers and co-workers and a strong desire to surpass expectations
  • Is organized and meets deadlines
  • Punctual and has regular attendance
  • Must be available to work graveyard shift start time between 6pm and 8pm, finishing between 3am and 6am
  • Must be available to work nights and for overnight trips to jobsites, to be communicated to team members at least 4 weeks in advance
